Keeping Life Unfiltered as a❘Wife❘Mother❘Adventurer❘& Memory Hoarder

My amazing Storm is a wicked pee holder!

5.20.2015

My oh so brave boy held his pee so long while waiting for his big brother to get out of school.  He kept his eyes so intently affixed on the doors that big brother would soon come out of.  While staring at the front doors he kept falling asleep in a very awkward and stiff position.  After his bladder realized that he had fallen asleep he would then wake up with an oh so very sour and painful face.  At this point he was still no longer about to admit that anything was wrong.
Mommy at this point finally gained the courage to ask him what was going on.  This being said I did see him react to holding it way to long.  Now, after painfully seeing Storm go through this way to many times I asked him if he WANTed to go to the bathroom (key word WANTED).
I want him to feel in control!  He needs to be in control of something at this age...this seems adequate.  I don't remember potty training but it is probably not very pleasant...
I then realized Storm was conveniently ignoring me and I asked again if he WANTed to go to the bathroom.  Storm adorably replied, "but mommy we don't have car toilets anymore!"  I then let him know I would let him just this once pee in the wipe container and he quickly jumped up and nodded his head in excitement aka relief!  He unbuckled, stood up in the back seat while waiting for big brother and peed!
My heck he sure can hold his pee!!!  Potty training will forever be eventful with my boys!  Never a dull moment!  I like it that way!
